Covid-19 Protocols

We would like to highlight the policies we will be implementing to help everyone stay healthy and safe:

  1. We kindly ask that only ONE parent / guardian enter to drop off each student.

  2. All students should come fully dressed in their dance attire, as changeroom usage will be limited.

  3. All students will have their temperature taken with a touchless laser thermometer. Anyone with a temperature over 38 degrees will not be allowed in.

  4. Once your student is dropped off and has had their temperature taken, they will be ushered immediately to sanitize their hands. After that, they will wait in designated areas until everyone has arrived and washed up.

  5. No street shoes will be allowed past the entry. Only dance shoes will be worn.

  6. All dancers are recommended to wear face masks. Please bring a small bag (eg. zip lock bag) to store masks in case they need to take it off for drinking water.

Each child will be dismissed individually as each parent comes to the door. Parents are asked to form a line and wait outside the entrance.

Other precautions we will taking:

  • Sanitizer: We have hand sanitizer (containing at least 70% alcohol) in each room, hallway, and front desk. Students will be asked to use it

  • frequently, but they are allowed to bring and use their own if they'd prefer to.

  • Water: Please make sure your child brings their own non-spillable bottles with names clearly labelled.

  • No close contact in class: sudents will be asked to maintain safe distances from each other during the lesson. If you can please remind them to keep to themselves, since they all love to hug each other! :)

  • Surface cleaning: Following each class, all frequently touched surfaces and equipment will be thoroughly wiped down.

  • If there is ever a need to cough or sneeze, dancers are asked to cover their mouth / nose with their shirt or elbows (not into their hands please!)

  • Only healthy staff members will be allowed in the studio.

  • *For Acro dancers*: bring your own equipment (e.g. yoga mat), since we will be limiting usage of our equipment.

How you can help:

  • Do not bring your child to class if they are coughing, sneezing, have a fever, stomach ache, body aches, sore throat, chest congestion, diarrhea, vomiting, or any other illness.

  • Do not bring your child to class if a family member is ill with any of the above symptoms

  • Encourage your child to cough and sneeze into their arm not in their hand and to not touch other children or their teacher.

  • Alert us if your child does have COVID-19 and has been to the studio within the last 14 days so we can contact their peers.
