Our Mission

Carol C Dance Studio was founded by Carol Chan. For many years, she had noticed the need for a non-competitive, enjoyable environment for dancers to grow, and a need to spread her love of dance in the community...thus, CCDS was born!​

 

CCDS is devoted to providing an enriching, positive, and supportive environment, where students have the opportunity achieve their greatest artistic potential while nurturing their individual talents in dance. We believe in the cultivation of teamwork, leadership, and self-discipline through dance education, and the fostering of well-rounded individuals both in and out of the classroom.

 

Our dance program encourages community involvement and cultural awareness through year-round performances at local events, charities, and festivals around the Toronto, Markham, and Scarborough area. We have performed for events such as the Pan Am Opening Ceremony, Rogers TV, Toronto International Dance Festival, and many more. Most importantly, we aim to educate younger generations of Chinese Canadians in the diversity of Chinese culture, as they discover the stories and history behind the dances they learn.

 

Our studio offers both recreational and competitive programs and a variety of dance styles to accommodate everyone. In addition to strengthening dance technique and foundation in our dance classes, we also encourage our dancers to build long lasting friendships with their peers and teachers. So whether you are young or old, have two left feet, with little or no dance experience, CCDS is all about providing anyone and everyone a positive, encouraging, and most of all, FUN!
